The iconic MINI, known for its go-kart feel and urban coolness, enters a new era with the all-electric MINI Aceman S. And believe us, this compact crossover is more than just another electric variant – it’s a statement on wheels, ready to conquer the city with style and zero-emission power. And it does so in a 5-door version!
At STROOHM, where we deal with the future of mobility and sustainability on a daily basis, we are looking at this topper with extra interest. After all, the Aceman S promises to be a perfect blend of the beloved MINI DNA and the practical benefits of a compact crossover, electrified for the modern world.
What makes the Aceman S so “Ace”?
Let’s dive into the details that make this electric MINI so attractive:
- Design with a Twist: The Aceman S retains the recognizable MINI proportions, but introduces a fresh, modern design language. Think clean lines, a distinctive octagonal grille (now closed, of course!), and striking LED light signatures. The result is a tough, confident look that fits perfectly into the cityscape.
- Compact Crossover: The crossover form factor means more interior space and a higher seating position than the traditional MINI Hatch. This makes the Aceman S not only agile in traffic, but also more comfortable for daily driving and carrying passengers or groceries. Ideal for the busy city life here in Flanders!
- Electric Power and Efficiency: The Aceman S is powered by a powerful electric motor that provides a smooth and responsive driving experience – that typical MINI go-kart feel, but quietly and without emissions. The exact specifications of the battery and driving range are of course crucial, but early reports promise a
decent range that perfectly suits the needs of the city dweller. - Technology on board: MINI is known for its playful and intuitive technology, and the Aceman S is no exception. Expect a modern infotainment system with a central circular OLED touchscreen, smart connectivity features and advanced driving assistance systems that make driving safer and more comfortable.
- Sustainability as standard: As an all-electric car, the Aceman S naturally contributes to cleaner air in our cities. This fits perfectly with the growing focus on sustainability and the transition to electric driving that we are also seeing here in Belgium.

Battery and charging
Equipped with a modern all-electric powertrain, the MINI Aceman offers an excellent balance between performance and efficiency. Depending on the version, the Aceman is available with a battery pack of 40 kWh and 54 kWh, which translates to a practical range of around 250 or 300 kilometers in real-world conditions.
In terms of charging, the MINI Aceman supports AC charging of up to 11 kW, which allows the battery to be fully charged in about 4 to 5 hours at a suitable home or public charging station. Fast charging is also possible: with DC fast charging up to 95 kW (54kwh battery), the battery can be charged to 80% in about 30 minutes, ideal for longer trips with a short stopover. the 40kWh battery version, however, is limited to 70kW fast charging which is limited anno 2025 anyway. If you do not plan to drive long distances and want to charge mostly at home or at the office, it is not a problem.
Whether you are already considering electric driving or just looking for a stylish and practical car, the MINI Aceman S definitely deserves a place on your radar. It combines the iconic design and driving pleasure of MINI with the benefits of an electric drive and the extra space of a crossover. And with a starting price starting at €33,350 for the MINI Aceman E (40 kWh) and €37,350 for the MINI Aceman SE (54 kWh), it’s definitely worth considering. We do recommend considering the Mini Aceman SE version for those who drive a lot of miles daily because of the driving range and fast-charging capacity.
It is proof that electric driving does not have to be boring. On the contrary, it can come with character, style and a good dose of driving pleasure. Would you like to test this for yourself? Make an appointment now for a test drive at GREGOIR.
