CREG’s board table with average market prices per region are published monthly. Prior to each quarter, past rates are bundled per 3 months. STROOHM applies new tariffs each quarter, starting from January – April – July – October.

In the example we have the price for q1 2024, it is calculated on the average board table prices of Aug/Sept/Oct 2023. Why? Prices from November – December 2023 are not yet known at the time the prices for on Jan. 1, 2024 (Q1) are to take effect. As indicated above, these will not be released until Jan. 15. Therefore, we need to align on the Aug/Step/Oct 2023 period.

An average of the 3 months is taken. This is converted to an amount excluding VAT. As you can see, the average rate for Q1 2024 is 28.56 for Flanders, 30.67 for Brussels and 33.99 for Wallonia. Last mile solutions works with an input system that rounds up to 2 decimal places. Since we calculate in cents, this means: 0.2856 is rounded to 0.29 by Last mile solutions. Would this be 0.2840 it will be rounded to 0.28. On that amount 6% VAT is deducted for reimbursement to the employee. In this example this would mean 0.29 * 1.06 -> makes an amount to 4 digits after the comma namely 0.3074 incl 6% VAT. Reimbursements do happen 4 digits after the comma.
